Kenyan body building boss promises to revamp once vibrant sport

"Body builders late last year elected youthful office bearers to lead the federation that was long forgotten and will have to start from scratch after wrangling groups tore the former vibrant association down the middle and brought to an end what was one of the most fascinating sports in Kenya.
The new office hit the ground running and has staged events that has also brought on board women body builders.
"We have identified the areas that need greatest priority and we are going to build on them to increase the fan base," newly elected Kenya Body Building Federation (KBBF), Chris Omedo, said on Thursday. "The only recognised body for body builders is KBBF whose office was duly elected on August 23, 2014 in Nairobi in the presence of Government officials," said Kenya National Sports Council Treasurer (KNSC) Charles Nyaberi.

KNSC Deputy Administration Secretary James Akama warned that legal action would be taken against sprouting outfits that undermine recognised federations ..."

Mr Kericho Open Bodybuilding Championship
Saturday 1st December, 2012

The highly anticipated Mr Kericho Open Bodybuilding Championship will be held in Kericho on Saturday 1st December, 2012 at Kericho Primary School.

The competition is expected to draw interest from competitors in the Rift Valley region, and will also play host to competitors from other regions of the country.  It's all happening this December, so plan to be there!

For those who have not experienced Kericho, be prepared to be amazed by this beautiful tea country.  The cup of tea you enjoyed this morning, most likely had its beginnings at one of the well tended tea farms that grace this region.  Cool air, friendly people and organised transport - Kericho will amaze you.
